A new 2-storey building that houses 6 classrooms was inaugurated on January 11, 2016 at the Ipil National High School in Brgy. Ipil, Ormoc City, Leyte.

The classroom was one of the numerous projects of the DPWH in the 4th District of Leyte. Typhoon Yolanda had destroyed 90% of the buildings in Ormoc, with school buildings and classrooms included in that number.

Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez was on hand for the event, along with Hon. Vince Rama – City Councilor, Hon. Tommy Serafica – City Councilor, Atty. Nolito Quilang, Engr. Lino Francisco Gonzales – District Engineer, DPWH, Mrs. Jeriza Matiga – School Principal of INHS, as well as several teachers and Barangay Coucilors in the area.
