Another 179 boats for Barangay Ipil Fisherfolk

One hundred and seventy-nine more fishermen from the 4th district of Leyte got their main means of livelihood back on March 16, 2016 when each of them received a fiberglass boat with an outboard motor, from the ongoing 6400: Mission Possible project of Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez. The turnover took place at the Ipil Port in Ormoc City.

Donors for the 179 motorized fishing boats are the Rotary Club of Makati, Meralco MSERV and Sophie Soph.

Present during the turnover ceremony were Cong. Torres-Gomez, Mr. Richard Gomez, Matt Torres, Board Member Indoy Arevalo, Municipal Mayor Tony Matinez of Merida, Leyte, Vice Mayor Norman Mesina of the Municipality of Albuera, Hon. Cathy Tolero, Municipal Councilor of Albuera, Hon. Toto Locsin, Vice Mayor of Ormoc City, Hon. Vince Rama, Ormoc City Councilor, and City Councilors Bennet Pongos and Tommy Serafica.

6200 Mission Possible expresses its deepest thanks to Makati Rotarians President Eddie Yap, Past Presidents Roland Young and Atty. Reggie Nolido, and Chief of Staff Ronel Dotaro. The Rotary Club of Makati is composed of businessmen and professionals representing a wide range of fields.

The 4th District of Leyte also thanks MServ and Sophie Soph.
