After 15 years, sitio “sees the light” through Lucy’s effort

ORMOC CITY –  A sitio at Brgy. Airport here that has never had electric connection even if the city is rolling rich in electric subsidies has finally “seen the light” after Richard Gomez, husband and chief of staff of Cong. Lucy Torres-Gomez, led a “switch on” ceremony last August 13 together with officials of the Leyeco V.
It was learned that Sitio 3 has been requesting for energization for 15 years now, said Lito David.
It was also in this sitio that Gomez discovered that a simple project of his wife can cause consternation among local leaders of the Codillas, who’ve been going around telling residents that it was the mayor’s project and not Lucy’s.
Residents told Gomez and company that no less than their barangay chairwoman Mila Galos went around to tell them the electrification project was Mayor Codilla’s. To their surprise, it was Gomez who came.
