Coast Guard Honored after Pope’s Visit

Officers and members of the Coast Guard were honored recently in Ormoc City for their invaluable assistance during the Pope’s visit to Leyte early this year. The ceremonies were held on the 26th of February at Ormoc City’s Port Area. Hon. Lucy Torres-Gomez was in attendance as guest of honor.

Present during the ceremonies were Capt. Pedro V. Tinampay PCG- Commander, Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas, Col. Dinoh A. Dolina – Brigade Commander 802nd Light Brigade, Phil. Army, S/Supt. Jose Macanas – PNP City Director, Ormoc City, PSSupt. Edmund A. Gonzales – Regional Chief Maritime Unit 8, LCDR Glenn Abelardo G. Pacheco PCG – Chief of Staff, CGDEV, Mr. Estopa Glo – DENR, CENRO, Southern Leyte, Mr. Francisco Omega – Operation manager, Roble Shipping, PSi Jose Robrido Station Chief 802 Maritime Police, Calbayog Station, and S.Insp. Romeo Jaca – City Fire Marshal, Ormoc City.
